The thing is ,as it looks like, they run the same kind of servers I do ... (same names, same mods, and now same admin mentionned)

I advise you not to mistake players with "spoofed" or even "look like" infos, if you get what I mean, just set up the servers the way you like and want, the goal is not to trick the community right ?

As I said on another topic, I will restart instantgib, the original.

For now I changed the name a bit of the 2 collective servers, if you intend to keep a rockets and an instagib server: this is fine ! but do not make them look like as they were the officials. I don't ask this for myself but for players who may believe wrong things. You can change them again as you want.

hey cacatoes, i was wondering is there a way to make guns shoot faster?? like 5 granades per second or something like that (would make game very fun !)

Quickly: fire rate can only be set in the source code (of the QVM), which means this is only possible with mods. But as you know, I prefer ROFL servers not to use custom mods.

In fact, it could be possible to allow modification of fire rate from cvars, but OA dev team has to implement it. It's not that hard but It is unlikely they will spend time doing this. Maybe some other mods already have that feature (aftershock ?), and if they have it, OA team may retrieve the changes.

do you know how to make a run script that gives you the chance to administraid ur server with out opening openarena

i mean administraid a server by rcon (not full administraidor)

like i was thinking something like

set /p rconAddress=enter your server address here:

set /p rconPassword= enter your server password here:

rconAddress %rconAddress% +rconPassword %rconPassword% (and from here i dont know what to put xD ive tryied +openarena.exe x but nothing happends pls help, btw the goal is to make a tool for admins )

On linux, this is possible with a command-line tool, like crcon ( http://openarena.tuxfamily.org/wiki/doc:logiciel:crcon ) or qcon : http://qscore.sourceforge.net
Maybe they run windows, otherwise maybe you will find one there: http://sourceforge.net/directory/?q=rcon

Then, you will be able to make Windows scripts, this is what you intended to do, right ?

Some other way could be: use some graphic tool, or some PHP interface, the problem is all these software are a bit old and unmaintained, or unsuitable to Q3/OA.

Okay,

I'm not good at Windows scripting, but you seem to have a little knowledge, just like me, and that may be enough.
(Forget about the linux script, that was simply to give you a clue, but it's irrelevant)

You really have to find some RCON program, if you want to send commands from outside OA.
This one is old, for windows, I don't know if it works: http://sourceforge.net/projects/q3tools … 3rcon/1.0/
Try it, and tell me.

Else, some other tool, with a GUI, might also be available. Could be "HLSW" (but it was for Half Life), or something else ...
So, try to find one which works. In worst case, you will have to compile/build one, or use one written in PHP (but again, I don't know any ...)

Once you found one which runs fine, you'll be able to start writing a script
